Feng Shui
'Feng Shui' (literally translates as "wind-water") is an ancient method of aesthetics believed to utilise the Laws of both Heaven (astronomy) and Earth (geography) to help oneself to progress successfully through life by receiving positive Qi /Chi (energy).
Abundance, improved relationships, better health, a fulfilling career and more can be yours by utilising the teachings of Feng Shui, deemed the eco-science of the environment. Feng Shui is founded on time-tested principles for designing and arranging living and work spaces to support balance, prosperity and healthy living.
An excellent time to utilise Feng Shui is when going through a major change in your life, choosing a new home or office, or when planning to expand or renovate your property. By making a few simple alterations you will be able to fully benefit from the principle teachings of Feng Shui to realign energy and attract much luck, love, health and prosperity into your life.
Classical Feng Shui uses birth data, as well as the orientation of the building to personalise the recommendations for your home or business.
The Smiling Frog is proud of its reputation for providing clients with an exclusive, friendly professional service, including free personal follow up support after every consultation. Feng Shui Consultations usually begin with a telephone conversation about what you would like to achieve from a consultation, agreeing the fee and arranging a date to visit your property.
Since each consultation is uniquely bespoke to individual requirements, a simple floor plan is requested along with some basic information about your property, including the year your property was built to enable relevant calculations to be carried out prior to visiting you.
At the first consultation we would generally spend some time talking about why you feel the need for and what you would like to achieve from a Feng Shui consultation. A plan is drawn up of the property (or verified against an existing one). An accurate compass reading is then taken to determine the orientation of the property. Once the relevant data is collected the information is assimilated into a comprehensive report with regards to the Feng Shui principles. The report contains information on recommended enhancements to balance and harmonise energy patterns; advice on weak sectors of your property and how to positively activate areas of your life in which you are experiencing difficulties.
The second visit entails going through the report and advising on the location, layout and position of key areas and locations; furniture, colours, lighting and other general features. The aim of the recommendations made in accordance with Feng Shui principles, is to enhance the atmosphere of your property, creating feelings of well being and bringing positive opportunities into your life.
Alterations have a powerful impact and are usually easily achievable, often involving the specific placement of elements such as water features or plants or rearranging furniture layout. With your environment supporting you rather than holding you back, dynamic changes can sometimes happen within days of making the first modifications.
The length of a consultation depends on the size of your property and your requirements. The minimum average time spent at a small flat or house are three times 1-3 hours. The agreed cost is confirmed in writing before the first visit and a small deposit is requested as confirmation of the consultation. Fees are quoted fully inclusive of preparation work, travelling, your site consultation, a written report and follow up conversations to ensure that you get optimum results.
It is always best to carry out the recommended changes a few at a time. By introducing them slowly, you can wait and see the effects of each. If you don't follow the advice, you can't expect the benefits. Do not expect instant miracles; time has a part to play.

Astrology

Astronomy studies the celestial sky in order to formulate the natural laws that govern the heavenly bodies and to understand how the physical structure of how the universe evolved:
Astrology describes the influence of those bodies upon human character and life. It is an applied science, as it is based on astronomy; an exact science, as its judgments are based on mathematical calculations; and an empirical science, as its deductions are based on data collected over a long period of time.

The information is gleaned from a horoscope (a map of the celestial sky) cast for a particular moment of time and deciphered according to a well-established system of rules, which, are most certainly devoid from the rudiments of probability or divination. Furthermore, the established Astrological rules are substantially based on a written tradition that draws its influence from thousands of years of observation.
Astrological terms are used daily in our language, for instance when people are described as being of; "mercurial," "saturnine" or "jovial" dispositions. Astrological Parties
An Astrological Party is similar to a ‘Tarot Reading Party’, but instead of reading the tarot, I sit down with each individual and work through their personal astrological profile with them. I also take along my Ephemeris and advise on any questions they have about other people in their lives, current concerns or what to expect for future events with regards to current and forthcoming planetary positions in relation to their personal natal charts – it’s all good fun yet serious at the same time! Clients get to keep their Astrological profiles, so have a permanent record of the process. I also provide them with a brief description of their Chinese sign – which people also find themselves relating very much to on a personal level.
The host/hostess of the party is provided with their Astrological profile for free and the fee for each guest is £25.00. A deposit of £10.00 per guest is required as there is much preparation in creating the personal astrological profiles beforehand. I meet with the host/hostess, ideally a few weeks before the party is to occur, to go through their character profile, explain what to expect and give advice on how they can decorate their home to create the perfect ambiance for such a gathering. I will either see each person separately or speak freely depending on the wishes of the host/hostess and guests. A minimum of four or maximum of ten people would be ideal, depending on how long the party is expected to last, as up to half an hour for each person is required for an optimum reading.

COLOUR THERAPY
Colour is quite simply ‘light’ and none of us can live without it. The cells of our bodies react to it, or the lack of it, and this directly affects our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. We only have to think of how we intuitively respond to colour, such as ‘with awe’ at the splendour of a sunrise or ‘with hope’ at the magic of a rainbow to realise its power to heal.
The profound effect colour has on our moods, emotions and behaviour is reflected in the sayings that pepper our everyday language. We unconsciously resort to these to describe how we are feeling to explain our reaction to something: to be ‘green’ with envy is to be emotionally imbalanced. We say we have ‘the blues’, when we are in a solitary, introverted mood. When describing a response that is immediate and involves anger or aggression we are ‘seeing red’.
Our own home is where we take sanctuary from the world; it is the place where we spend a large part of our lives and so it is important that the colours we live with support us physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. We need to consider what each room is for and whether its colour scheme serves that purpose. For example, how do you feel when you wake up in the morning? Refreshed or still tired? If the latter, it may be that your bedroom is in one of the colours at the warm end of the spectrum, which are very stimulating, whereas you need a cool, calm colour such as blue for relaxation.
Colour is utilised strongly in Feng Shui as each element is represented by a colour and used to retain fortunate energy or act as a countermeasure to any weaken negative energy.

Life-Style Management
A ‘Life-Style Management' service, unique to
'The Smiling Frog', employs a combination of Astrology, Feng Shui, Interior Design and Colour Therapy in conjunction with each other, or on a separate basis, to help you to manage, balance and 'restyle’ your busy life and home around ‘you’.
Firstly, an Astrological horoscope is constructed which analyses your character profile (and depending on your requirements, any others who live with you). The profile is an amazing and valuable psychological tool and gives insight into 'the real you', how you viewed the world as a child, how others view(ed) you and much more...
The next step involves Feng Shui. Advice is proffered on how to enhance positive energy to bring you whatever you desire the most, (please refer the section on 'Feng Shui' for the consultation process). Interior design and colour therapy are used simultaneously with the Feng Shui procedure.
Finally, a comprehensive, user-friendly report will be compiled containing your Astrological profile and full Feng Shui analysis which is totally personal to you and your surroundings, all of which is fully explained verbally during the 2nd consultation. A final visit will be arranged three-months hence for an update.
